Analytics and advertising tools are not currently enabled on this website. Optional purposes remain off. Accepting all does not activate tools that have not been introduced.

Browsing, scrolling or closing the settings does not grant permission for optional purposes. When optional services are added or changed, we update the information and ask for a new choice.

What is stored & for how long

Cookies are small pieces of data used by browsers in network communication. This website also uses localStorage, sessionStorage and IndexedDB, which are separate browser storage mechanisms, for privacy preferences and enquiry continuity.

Privacy preferences

localStorage stores your selected purposes, notice version, save time and expiry. It does not include your name or email address. The choice is shared by the Japanese and English pages.

Validity: up to 180 days

Enquiry continuity & display settings

sessionStorage keeps your contact method, selected guide, answers and message drafts, information needed to resume an enquiry, and reply status. Japanese and English enquiries are managed separately.

Scope: the current tab session. Saved conversation history is eligible for restoration within 24 hours.

Data may survive reloads or browser session restoration. Guide progress and text drafts do not have a universal 24-hour deletion rule.

Unsent attachment drafts

IndexedDB stores selected PDFs, images, GIFs and audio as recoverable drafts. A message can include up to 3 files, each no larger than 5MB. Recording starts only after you operate the control and grant microphone access.

Restoration window: within 24 hours of saving

The restoration limit does not mean all stored bytes are automatically erased at that time. Browser settings or storage limits can also make drafts unavailable sooner.

This enquiry storage supports conversations you choose to start. It is not used for analytics or advertising. Submitted enquiry information is handled separately from local drafts, as described in our privacy notice.

Changing choices & clearing data

You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. Necessary only switches off optional purposes. It does not delete enquiry history or unsent drafts.

Remove individual unsent attachments from the attachment list in the conversation. To remove all data stored by this site, clear this site’s data through your browser settings. This may remove unsent information and the ability to resume an enquiry.

If your browser blocks storage, we apply your choice for the current visit where possible. Saving preferences or restoring enquiries may be unavailable. For requests about submitted information, see our privacy contact.
