Define the substrates and joint

Record material grades, surface treatment, cleaning, bond area and gap. Surface condition and geometry can change the result even for the same material, so evaluate actual parts.

Confirm the curing process

Review UV access, heating limits, component heat tolerance and moisture-curing conditions. Identify equipment constraints and shadowed areas before screening cure methods.

Define dispensing and assembly

Record dose, bead geometry, time to assembly, cycle time and positioning tolerance. If prototype and production equipment differ, check repeatability on both.

Set acceptance criteria

Include strength, load direction, displacement, temperature, humidity, thermal cycles and repair requirements. Compare initial performance with performance after the defined environmental tests.

General evaluation guidance. Confirm grade-specific performance and suitability using current documentation and actual evaluation conditions.
